Earlier in 2023, my wife inherited an antique piano from her parents. It’s an upright piano from roughly 1910, and while it had great bones it was in desperate need of a full restoration. I worked with Farley’s House of Pianos (yes, those Farleys) to restore it.

The process took several months and required a complete restringing and reconstruction of the interior of the piano, as well as a complete refinishing of the exterior and replacement of the keys and pedals. The result was unbelievable gorgeous, and well worth the wait!

In addition to the piano itself, the previous stool was in pretty bad shape and wasn’t worth repairing or restoring. Farley’s was able to source a new bench and patch the trim style and finish, complementing the piano perfectly.

Finally, my wife bought a very comical cat-sized couch to go next to the piano, which matches the style of the human-sized furniture in the sitting room. It was definitely a hit and actually looks pretty good on the back wall with the piano.
