I’ve lived in Wisconsin for 33 years, and somehow had avoided a rite of passage that most Wisconsinites have to go through at some point in their lives: hitting a deer. I was driving to work in the Bentley at highway speed, on a conference call when suddenly two deer jumped into the road. I was able to avoid both, but I was not able to avoid the third when it jumped out a few seconds later. It bounced off the Bentley’s front quarter panel, deflected off the driver-side door, and then was completely obliterated by a semi-truck that was driving behind me. The damage didn’t look all that severe:

Since the car is a Bentley, repairing it was more complicated than it would have seemed like it should be. I attempted to work with a body shop in Madison, but they were unable to source parts to work on the car. I then reached out to Bentley Northbrook in the northern suburbs of Chicago, and they were able to help me.

After more than two months, they were able to get the car put back together and it looks as good as new!
